Pediatric - Rehabilitation Physician

I am working with Prisma Health Children s Hospital-Midlands in Columbia, SC and they are looking for some Pediatric PMR coverage June 19th-26th. Prisma Health Childrens Hospital - Midlands Columbia, SC Prisma Health facility Qualivis vendor management job 165 bed facility 6 bed Rehab Unit Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center Level 3 NICU This facility is looking for coverage June 19th-26th for one of their full-time Pediatric PMR physicians This facility will accept an adult PMR physician who does or is willing to see children Shift times: M-F 8a-5p No night call 24-hour call on Sat/Sun This facility averages 5 new patients per shift No new patients will be accepted during times of coverage and we will try to minimize discharges The physician will supervise 2 largely self-sufficient PAs who can manage notes, orders, and communication with families Thursdays involve a team conference with the entire rehab team (nursing, therapists, child life, music therapy, case management and sometimes pharmacy) to discuss progress, goals, and anticipated discharge for each patient The permanent physician usually leads these meetings but the PAs are always present and can take the lead. The primary need/reason for coverage is SCDHHS requirement for an MD or DO with rehabilitation training seeing each patient face-to-face at least twice each week after the first week of their stay (3 times during the first week). Special Equipment Used: Standard hospital equipment, specialized rehab tools eg ceiling mounted walking track EMR: EPIC 45-60 days to privilege Physicians must have an active South Carolina license Physicians must be Board Certified or truly Board Eligible $305 per hour with an 8-hour guarantee M-F $2440 per 24-hour call on Sat/Sun $366 per hour for any hour worked over the 8-hour guarantee M-F or any hour worked in the facility while on call Zach Worley Recruiting Representative The Talent Society o. c. f. w. by Jobble
