Job Title: Pharmacy Technician I – Filling & Packing Specialist Location: Tampa, FL 33614 Pay Rate: $17.50/hour Type: 3-Month Contract (Potential to Extend or Convert) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM Overview: A-Line Staffing is looking for Licensed Pharmacy Technicians who will play a key role in both filling and packing prescription orders in a climate-controlled distribution center. This dual-purpose role allows you to gain hands-on experience in preparing medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, while also contributing to operations support and inventory management. What You’ll Do: Select, pick, package, and label medications and ancillary supplies per prescriptions under pharmacist supervision. Accurately count medications using manual processes and automated counting devices. Maintain proper hand hygiene and follow hazardous medication handling protocols. Perform Operations Assistant duties as needed. Restock and prepare the filling station with medications and supplies. Clean pill counting devices, equipment, and general work areas. Assist with inventory control processes and record keeping. Requirements: Active and unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license in Florida. High school diploma or GED. Preferred: 6 months of pharmacy technician experience. Preferred: 3 months in a pick/pack/ship environment and 3 months computer experience. Knowledge of drug names, basic pharmacology, medical terminology, and pharmacy law. Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Able to stand for 8–10 hours and lift 5–10 lbs repeatedly; occasionally lift up to 30–50 lbs. Comfortable reaching, grasping, and using a keyboard and departmental machinery. Physical Requirements: Work near moving machinery such as conveyor belts. Moderate noise environment. Must wear protective clothing/equipment as required.
