Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Duration: 8 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel The Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) performs direct patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Geriatric Nursing Assistant performs a variety of individualized patient care activities including bathing, dressing, feeding and transporting as well as related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the geriatric patient population. Minimum Requirements: Active CNA with Geriatric Certification, required Experience with memory care patients, preferred Prefer one year of geriatric nursing assistant experience as a certified nursing assistant within the last three years. Graduate from certified nursing assistant program with subsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per state requirements with proof of verification as being an active certification and having the ability to be work with geriatrics per state requirements. • Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functions.
