Description The Neurophysiology Tech Assistant is a support position in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and/or Clinical Neurophysiology areas, with duties designed to be flexible to meet the specific needs of the department. Completion of internal competencies as well as hands on coaching required to successfully transition into the Neurophysiology Technologist role. Assists Neurophysiology Techs with tasks for the successful acquisition of routine and/or video EEG data for patients as requested. Disconnects patient from the electrodes, cleans and removes equipment from the patient room at the conclusion of the study. Performs cleaning of equipment, bed rail pads, and restocks supplies as needed. Actively completes EEG 200-211 courses through the ASET program. Responsibilities will also include assisting with daily secretarial tasks and data entry. The position requires average computer proficiency in Microsoft applications and various technical skills to effectively schedule patient, maintain Dept data log. He/She will be solely responsible to schedule all EEGs, Video EEGs/Ambulatory EEGS and complete all pertinent paper work. Estimated pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.96 / hour depending on experience.
