Specifically, this role involves working with the Oracle Cloud Marketplace team, which is dedicated to creating innovative services for our Marketplace. Our goal is to make the Marketplace the leading platform for purchasing enterprise software on OCI, driving substantial revenue growth. To achieve this, we are expanding the Marketplace platform with new features that cater to a variety of partner and customer needs. This role requires working onsite in Nashville, TN (priority location, 5 days/week) or Austin, TX (secondary location). Relocation assistance is available. Please note that this is not a remote position. Responsibilities As a Senior Software Engineer on the Marketplace team, you will take a pivotal role in leading our development initiatives. You will collaborate with a talented group of software engineers to design and implement a central technology platform for our cloud's software offerings. Your contributions will facilitate the purchase of pre-configured software installations across various platforms, addressing challenges spanning backend distributed services, e-commerce transactions, and user-facing web applications. This position is ideal for someone with full-stack development experience eager to thrive in a dynamic, start-up-like environment. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field. 5+ years of experience in software development. Proficient in Java and/or GoLang, Python, with skills in algorithm design, object-oriented design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis. Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Web UIs, HTTP, and Terraform. Proven experience in designing, launching, and maintaining distributed systems at scale. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in building distributed cloud services. Familiarity with virtualization and orchestration technologies. Experience in designing intuitive web UIs. Salary and Benefits Information: Hiring Range in the US for this position is from $79,200 to $178,100 per annum. You may also be eligible for bonuses and equity.
