Plant Installer and Delivery Driver

Plant Installer/Delivery Driver Location: Retail Stores (Overland Park, Shawnee, Liberty), Farm Locations, Various Assignment Locations Reports to: Managers, Supervisors Works With: Team Members Plant Installers and Delivery Drivers play a vital role in upholding the core values of Family Tree Nursery by fostering teamwork, demonstrating professionalism, and delivering exceptional service. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a proactive and positive attitude, and the ability to represent the company with integrity during off-site assignments. Plant Installers and Delivery Drivers work collaboratively with team members to support various departments by assisting with deliveries, plant installations, and loading and unloading trucks. Flexibility is key, as responsibilities may include tasks outside of the ordinary or supporting other departments as needed. Required Qualifications: Be 18+ years of age. Possess and maintain a clean driving record. Be able to pass a USDOT physical in order to drive. Essential Functions: Work in a variety of weather conditions including hot, humid, cold, wet or dry. This position routinely requires employees to individually lift, carry, and maneuver heavy or awkward items that may exceed 50 pounds. Employees must use proper lifting techniques, follow all training and safety procedures, and exercise sound judgment when determining whether a load can be handled safely. When an item is too heavy, bulky, or unstable to lift alone, employees are expected to request assistance or use available mechanical aids to prevent injury. Work on a variety of surfaces including, but not limited to, gravel, concrete, mud, or dirt. Work agreed upon availability. Stand and walk on your feet for multiple hours at a time with breaks as required by law. Operate effectively in a high paced setting involving various people and teams. Provide excellent guest experiences. Load and unload trucks. Drive large trucks and trailers effectively and safely. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and job site. Manage, organize, and keep all tools in working order provided by the location. Operate skid steer and dingo. Be on-time, present, and prepared for each shift. Execute daily work lists as assigned. Answer phone calls. Unload and load trucks, hard goods, customer deliveries, etc. Perform various other duties as assigned by store leadership.
