Job SummaryThe Presales Solutions Engineer - Cisco supports SHI's Sales and Engineering teams by delivering estimates, technical consultation, solution design, and support for Cisco Solution Requests. This role works with account teams to assess customer environments and create Cisco infrastructure solutions aligned with business goals. Key responsibilities include building relationships with Cisco and OEMs, training sales teams and customers, managing the solution pipeline, and identifying opportunities across Cisco's Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, and Services offerings.Role Description Architect and design Networking, Security, Data Center, and/or other emerging Cisco solutions with supporting technologies. Collaborate with the sales team to identify, gather requirements for solutions, and build the essential Bill of Materials. Create Deal Registration within CCW as required by management. Utilize and Learn SHI and Cisco's Tools to complete job responsibilities (i.e SHI's CRM, CCW, etc...) Partner with other solutions engineers, system engineers, architects, and technical specialists across different organizations and Sales teams in a pre-sales technical role across SHI business segments. Provide leadership and mentorship to others in the Solution Specialist roles. Support CiscoSA Team Solution Specialists and other Solutions Engineers as needed. Manage queue requests and internal escalations from Technical Specialists and other Solutions Engineers Conduct training and technical workshops for internal teams as needed. Attend and deliver training for the assigned architecture regularly. Perform Cisco Demos per architecture alignment. Perform End User Scoping and Discovery Calls Implement complex competitive OEM configuration flips (Comparable bids) Campaign partner event/initiative support (Call Blitz, Go Campaign, etc.) Assess and recommend appropriate incentive programs that align with proposed solutions. Stay current on Cisco's solutions and road map by attending VTs, VOEs, Partner Summits, and other industry events. Participate in any cadences with the external Cisco teams or internal teams as required by management. Act as a trusted advisor for all Cisco products and related technologies. Collaborate with all operational teams as needed to support the business. Join sales in customer-facing calls to help gather customer technical requirements. Advise customers on the latest product offerings with a good understanding of the supported features. Guide customers on technical scenarios; upgrade paths, product road maps, and industry best practices and services. Conduct basic road-mapping conversations to identify EOL products. Provide pre-sales technical assessment, then develop a proposal of estimates, deal registrations, consultation, and support around the assigned partner and or bill of materials for a solution. Translate business needs into technology specifications and recommendations. Stay current on industry technology trends through partner training and provide knowledge transfer to customers and team members. Develop a working knowledge of strategic partner product sets and attain required certifications. Identify and promote our company's Professional Services by being knowledgeable of our company's Services portfolio. Assist the company's reps to create quotes that clearly outline the benefits to customers to upgrade or replace equipment. Skill Level Requirements Experience working in complex sales opportunities - Intermediate Ability to effectively communicate and sell complex technical products or services by understanding customer needs, articulating the value proposition, and providing technical expertise to support the sales process - Intermediate Expertise in mainstream?technologies - Intermediate Other Requirements Completed Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience required 3-5 years of experience in a similar role Valid CCNA Certification(s) Ability to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer Events Certifications: If the certifications are not currently held the successful candidate will be required to obtain and hold the following certifications within a short period of commencing the role: 6 Months. Required: CCNA/CCDA Certification(s) Preferred: CCNP Certification The estimated annual pay range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
