We are looking for a dedicated CNA who enjoys hands-on care, personal interaction, and being part of a collaborative healthcare environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist residents with essential daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Support residents with mobility needs, including transferring, repositioning, ambulation, and the use of mobility aids. Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration) and monitor for any changes in condition. Serve meals and help feed residents who need assistance while monitoring and recording their intake and output. Maintain cleanliness and safety in resident rooms and common areas by providing basic room care including changing bed linens. Assist with incontinence care, toileting, and ensure the dignity and comfort of residents. Observe residents' physical and emotional wellbeing; provide companionship and emotional support while alerting the supervising nurse to any changes or concerns. Communicate effectively with residents, their families or POAs, and the care team regarding needs, status updates, and any observed changes. Adhere to all facility policies including those relating to infection control and resident confidentiality. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Connecticut CNA certification is required. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively. Demonstrated compassionate, resident-centered attitude with strong interpersonal skills. Physical stamina necessary to lift, turn, move, and assist residents as needed, including bending, standing, and walking. Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting is preferred but not mandatory. Reliable attendance and ability to work as part of a dedicated care team while ensuring resident dignity and safety.
