Position Summary: The IT Systems Administrator I is responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure, including servers, SaaS applications, network devices, and other IT services, while providing escalated desktop support and customer service. This role requires a blend of systems administration and advanced user support, with a focus on ensuring a stable, secure, and efficient IT environment. Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure is essential. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and be able to work independently and proactively to prevent and resolve issues, provide maintenance, and support enterprise projects. Job Responsibilities Systems Administration: Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, both on-premises and in cloud environments. Administer and optimize SaaS applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Monitor and maintain network devices to ensure high availability and performance. Implement automation scripts to streamline tasks and improve efficiency. Perform regular backup and recovery operations to safeguard data integrity. Technical Support: Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for escalated desktop support issues. Assist Tier 1 support by guiding and mentoring staff through complex issues. Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and networking. Maintain IT documentation and knowledge base to support consistent service delivery. Infrastructure Management: Monitor and maintain a stable and secure IT environment, identifying opportunities for proactive maintenance and improvements. Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) to ensure security and compliance. Support IT projects, including deployments, upgrades, and system improvements. Conduct regular security audits and address vulnerabilities to maintain a secure IT environment. Vendor and Asset Management: Coordinate with vendors to implement and maintain hardware, software, and network solutions. Track and manage IT assets and licenses, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Change Management: Participate in change control processes for IT systems, ensuring smooth updates. Document changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders. On-Call and After-Hours Work: Be available for on-call support and after-hours maintenance to address critical incidents or to conduct planned maintenance and projects outside of regular business hours. RequirementsBackground QualificationsRequired: Cultural Awareness: Experience working with the unique healthcare needs and social issues facing American Indians/Alaska Natives (AI/AN), and a commitment to promoting the delivery of appropriate health services to this population. Experience: At least two years of experience providing direct IT support to end users. Customer Service: Strong passion for providing exceptional customer service, with the patience to listen carefully to end users' needs and deliver effective solutions. Compliance Knowledge: Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance with IT systems and security. Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting servers, networks, and end-point hardware and software issues. Thorough understanding and proven support experience with standard office productivity applications, including Office 365. At least one year of experience with increasing responsibilities in administrating Office 365. Ability to read, develop, understand, and follow technical manuals, guides, and procedural documentation. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail. Work Ethic: A strong commitment to getting the job done right the first time. Teamwork: Proven ability to work as a team member in a collaborative environment. Research Skills: Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as needed. Training: Capability to provide and assist with end-user training related to IT software and systems. Desired: Education: Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field. Other Requirements: Transportation: Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to multiple locations as needed. Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional weekends. Licensing: Valid Washington driver's license and car insurance. Background Check: Successful completion of a thorough background check. Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity for operating a computer keyboard, mouse, and handling other computer components. Ability to inspect and work on cables in floors and ceilings. Occasional work in server room environments. Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals, weighing up to 50 pounds. Work Environment: • The IT Systems Administrator works in a collaborative work/office environment. • Work hours are 4x10 hours shifts per week., worked on-site, not remotely. Clinic hours are 7-6, Monday-Friday. Duties may involve long hours performing sedentary work at a computer terminal.
