Job Description Our client, a global automotive manufacturer located just north of Grand Rapids in the Grant, MI area, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Manager. This key role provides strategic leadership and technical expertise to the department, ensuring that all operations meet quality, cost, delivery, and safety goals. The Manufacturing Manager will oversee the financial aspects of the department, manage staff, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes. If you're passionate about lean manufacturing, process improvement, and leading teams, this is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact. Responsibilities: Direct and coordinate all activities within the manufacturing plant to ensure operations meet quality, cost, delivery, and safety goals. Lead teams responsible for molding services, including material, tooling, and processing, applying statistical process control as needed. Develop and monitor performance goals for the area and lead problem-solving teams to identify opportunities for improvement. Manage the financial aspects of operations, ensuring adherence to budget limitations and financial performance goals. Implement and drive continuous improvement processes, troubleshooting production issues, improving quality, reducing downtime, and cutting costs. Collaborate with product development teams to launch new programs into production. Lead cross-functional teams to meet business objectives, ensuring effective communication between manufacturing, product development, and procurement teams. Champion new business and manufacturing methods, promoting lean manufacturing principles and waste elimination strategies. Develop and execute plant strategies and objectives, translating long-term goals into short-term plans. Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times. Qualifications: 8+years of manufacturing industry experience 4+years of automotive manufacturing experience 2+years of management experience in an automotive manufacturing environment Knowledgeable with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies Preferences: Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.
