Mold Maintenance Technician Assistant

Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Mold Maintenance Technician Assistant with experience in plastic injection molding environments. This role supports mold maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities to ensure molds operate safely, efficiently, and meet production quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, understands injection molding processes, and is eager to learn and grow within a manufacturing setting.Key Responsibilities Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance on plastic injection moldsSupport mold tear-downs, cleaning, inspections, and reassemblyIdentify wear, damage, or defects in molds and report findings to senior techniciansAssist with mold changes, setups, and production start-upsMaintain proper mold documentation and maintenance recordsSafely handle molds, components, and tooling using proper lifting and rigging practicesSupport troubleshooting of molding-related issues affecting part quality or cycle timeFollow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)Maintain a clean and organized work area Qualifications Previous experience in plastic injection molding or mold maintenance preferredBasic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsFamiliarity with mold components (cores, cavities, hot runners, ejector systems) is a plusAbility to read basic blueprints or mold drawings preferredWillingness to learn and work under the direction of experienced mold techniciansStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Work Environment & Physical Requirements Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, heat, and plastic materialsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance as neededStanding, bending, and working with hand tools for extended periodsUse of PPE as required IND2
