Travel Surgical Technologist (CST) - Backfill Burlington, WI Contract Position This is a 123-bed, Level III Trauma facility located at: Burlington, WI Level III Trauma Center Primary Stroke Center No NICU 3 Operating Rooms COVID vaccine required The facility serves inpatient, outpatient, and ER surgical patients. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a backfill contract position. The ideal candidate is confident in a fast-paced OR setting and comfortable floating between sites. First-time travelers are welcome. Patient Population & Case Types Inpatient & Outpatient Surgery ER cases General GYN ENT Urology Orthopedics Podiatry Vascular Pediatrics: Mostly ENT cases ~5-10% of total case load Typically once per week Peds experience preferred Requirements Experience: Minimum 2 years of Surgical Tech experience Certifications: BLS (Required) CST Certification (Required) Skills Required: Strong knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques Familiarity with various surgical instruments and equipment Ability to anticipate surgeon needs Maintain sterile field integrity Comfortable assisting across multiple specialties OR Support Structure Charge Nurse (no patient assignment) Surgeon onsite during cases / on-call after hours Anesthesia onsite during cases / on-call after hours Surgery Scheduler (day shift) OR Aide (acts as secretary) Charting & Equipment EPIC - Required experience Pyxis Alaris pumps Floating Candidates will float to two additional sites: Southern Lakes Lakeland A weekly schedule will indicate assigned location. Scheduling & Call Requirements On-Call Requirements (RN & CST): Every 6th weekend (Friday afternoon - Monday morning) 1 night per week 30-minute response time required Holidays: 1 Summer holiday 1 Winter holiday Time Off Requests: Must be approved by manager Orientation 1-3 shifts depending on experience and comfort level Scrubs Procedural scrubs provided by facility
