Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A School Psychologist position is available on a contract basis in Glendale, AZ, offering approximately 37.5 to 40 hours per week. This role requires a professional dedicated to supporting students academic, behavioral, and emotional needs through comprehensive psychological services.Key responsibilities include conducting assessments for referred students to determine eligibility for special education services, actively participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams, and leading school-based teams through Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA). The position also entails maintaining thorough evaluation and special education records, providing direct services such as counseling and skills training to both general and special education students, and supporting school-wide initiatives focused on prevention, intervention, and the promotion of mental health.Qualifications and experience desired for this position include: Valid Arizona School Psychologist CertificationExperience managing a high school caseloadStrong ability to conduct detailed psychological assessments and recommend appropriate special education servicesProven skills in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including IEP and behavioral assessment teamsCompetence in maintaining accurate records and documentationExperience in providing individual and group counseling, as well as skills training for studentsCommitment to mental health promotion and preventive support services within a school environment This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students educational experiences and emotional well-being while working within a team-oriented school setting.
