Job Description

The University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM), Department of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Science (PTRS) is recruiting for a 12-month, full-time,tenure track faculty position. Outstanding scholars with an established and highly successful research program with interests that complement and extend existing areas of excellence in rehabilitation research are invited to apply. Responsibilitiesinclude advancing departmental research, mentorship, teaching and service within the DPT and Physical Rehabilitation Science PhD programs. Qualificationsinclude a PhD, EdD or DSc., experience in an area related to rehabilitation research to complement and expand our existing foundation, and the ability to work collaboratively and successfully with a variety of healthcare and research professionals. The candidate should have evidence of extensive scholarly work, teaching experience, and service. Preferred qualificationsinclude strong active federal grant funding and a research focus in bioengineering or neuroscience. Rank and salaryFull-time, tenure-track position at the level of Associate Professor or Professor. Salary and start-up funds commensurate with experience and qualifications.
