We help financial institutions win more business, grow deposits, and establish primacy by automating complex AR, AP, and payroll transitions with bank grade reliability.About the RoleWe are seeking a DevOps and Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen the infrastructure, scalability, and operational resilience of our platform. Because we serve financial institutions and automate mission critical banking workflows, uptime, security, and disciplined deployment practices are essential.This role will focus on infrastructure as code, cloud architecture, deployment automation, observability, and reliability engineering. You will partner closely with backend engineers to ensure systems are scalable, secure, and production ready from day one.Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure and Cloud Architecture Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform Manage and optimize AWS environments Architect scalable, secure, and cost effective cloud systems Improve disaster recovery and backup strategies Reliability and Observability Improve uptime, performance, and system resilience Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents Establish and track reliability metrics and service level objectives CI/CD and Deployment Automation Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines Automate deployments and environment provisioning Reduce manual intervention in release processes Improve rollback and recovery procedures Security and Compliance Support SOC readiness and infrastructure controls Enforce security best practices across environments Manage secrets, permissions, and access control Partner with compliance stakeholders to document infrastructure processes Operational Excellence Improve environment consistency across development, staging, and production Reduce operational toil through automation Provide guidance on performance optimization and scaling strategies Support incident response and on call processes Required Qualifications 3 to 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code Hands on experience with AWS architecture and services Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Strong understanding of networking, security, and system reliability principles Preferred Qualifications AWS Solutions Architect certification (Associate or Professional) Experience supporting regulated or financial services platforms Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker Experience implementing observability stacks Exposure to Python or scripting for automation What Success Looks Like Stable, scalable, and secure production environments Reduced deployment friction and faster release cycles Clear monitoring and alerting with minimal unexpected outages Infrastructure that supports audit readiness and compliance Why Join OnsettoYou will play a critical role in building the reliability backbone of a banking infrastructure platform.
