Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Charleston, SC Mid Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Monday–Friday (5×8s) Pay: $32/hour 13‑Week Contract We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital supporting high‑acuity surgical services. What You’ll Do Perform decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments Monitor and document sterilization using biological & chemical indicators Assemble case carts and instrument trays Support ORs across multiple service lines including Neuro, Ortho, Robotics, Transplant, ENT, GU, GYN Float within scope to sister campuses as needed Requirements 2+ years Sterile Processing experience Level I Trauma experience – Required CBSPD and/or HSPA (IAHCSMM) certification Experience with washers/sterilizers, IUSS, HLD, scope reprocessing First‑time SPTs not accepted No weekends | Holidays rotate Facility Highlights 820 staffed beds Advanced surgical environment Strong interdisciplinary support Parking available (one‑time $20 pass for nights/weekends)Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
