Telecommunications BIM Specialist

As a Telecommunications BIM Specialist, you will play a key role in creating design documentation and managing Revit BIM models. You will work alongside other discipline BIM leads and team members, ensuring alignment with Jacobs' and client BIM standards. Your expertise in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD will allow you to contribute to fully coordinated 3D models across multiple design disciplines, as well as produce detailed 2D construction drawings. Through collaboration with other designers, discipline leads, architects, and engineers, you will help turn design intent into constructable deliverables, ensuring clash-free 3D models. We are looking for someone with strong Revit knowledge who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn. High school graduate or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of BIM design experience At least 3 years of experience in telecommunications systems design and construction Understanding of how codes and standards influence design decisions Knowledge of design and construction specifications and their applications Basic knowledge of wiring/cabling connections in relation to circuits and device links Experience adhering to client design and modeling standards Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to estimate design and modeling time based on provided feedback A willingness to learn and grow Ideally, you will also possess: 3+ years of Revit and/or AutoCAD design experience Understanding of data center environments Experience in designing paging, intercom, and audiovisual systems Knowledge of life safety and security systems, including fire alarms, access control, and CCTV Familiarity with control systems, network components, and topology Jacobs is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
