Job Description

Executive Support Office Manager Plans, organizes and oversees the activities of assigned personnel within the Executive Support office. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization of executive support objectives for the directorate. Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements. Serves as principal advisor to the Director of Staff, Division Chiefs and Squadron Commanders regarding all Directorate military and civilian personnel actions ensuring management, execution of actions and effective implementation of, and compliance with, personnel management policies and regulations. Performs and administers personnel programs, including procurement, professional development, classification, assignments, promotions and separations. Networks with the Air Force Personnel Center and the Air Combat Command's Personnel, Manpower and Services Directorate to implement Air Force policies on personnel actions. Provides, plans for and coordinates resources and services and performs a variety of functions which are required for operation of the directorate. Facilitates and participates in the day-to-day management of the office and in resolving problems related to the implementation of new or changing mission requirements. Analyzes functions, procedures, practices and resources and consolidates information into recommendations to achieve efficient continuity and economy of operations. Alternate Unit Deployment Manager. Plans, develops, manages and coordinates all readiness plans and programs. Monitors and schedules deployment training of unit personnel to meet regulatory and Unit Type Code (UTC) Mission Capability Statement (MISCAP) requirements. Exercises responsibility for establishing and maintaining a high level of combat readiness for assigned personnel to meet Air and Space Expeditionary Force (AEF) rotational deployment requirements and contingency, exercise and Operations Other than War (OOTW)deployment requirements, by coordinating and ensuring all individual deployment requirements are fulfilled. Performs budget administration functions related to the execution of the Executive Service's annual appropriated fund budget. Coordinates with directorate budget analyst and monitors, analyzes and substantiates requests for allotments of funds from approved Executive Service's operating budget. Develops previously unidentified funding requirements for submission to directorate budget analyst and higher headquarters. U.S. Citizenship Required. Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period. Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. A master's degree in administrative management is highly desired. Prior ACC/A3E supervisory, manpower/personnel experience is highly desired. Prior ACC/A3 experience in relation to understanding the complexities of the various rated aviator specialties and career development of the rated military community is highly desired. Work may require weekend and/or mid or night shift duties based on national disasters and/or emergencies. At least 4 years of contingency readiness experience to include prior completion of DCAPES, JOPES and Contingency War planner (CWPC) courses is highly desired.
