Physician Assistant – Orthopedic Surgery (Outpatient) Location: Nashville, TN Schedule: 4×10‑hour shifts • No weekends • No call About the Opportunity Our Nashville outpatient orthopedic surgery center is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing surgical team. Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule with no nights, weekends, or call . Key Responsibilities Provide first-assist support in orthopedic surgical procedures within an outpatient surgery center. Perform pre‑operative evaluations and post‑operative assessments as needed. Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, anesthesia providers, RNs, and surgical techs. Perform wound closure, tissue handling, and other intraoperative duties. Support efficient surgical flow and ensure high‑quality patient care and safety. Document clearly and thoroughly within the EMR and support continuity of care. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program . Current PA-C certification (NCCPA). Valid Tennessee PA license (or eligibility to obtain). Orthopedic surgery or surgical first assist experience preferred . Strong understanding of sterile technique, surgical workflow, and orthopedic procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Schedule & Environment 4×10-hour shifts , consistent weekdays. No nights, weekends, holidays, or call. Outpatient orthopedic surgical setting—no inpatient responsibilities. Team-oriented culture with a focus on patient outcomes and OR efficiency.
