Packaging Operator (1st Shift) PDM draws on nearly 50 years of experience in the industry from our origins in Europe! Our facility operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year while our production side of the operation operates 24 hours (three shifts) Monday - Friday. Position Overview We are seeking a Packaging / Automation Operator to operate packaging equipment and perform final quality inspections before products are shipped. This role supports production efficiency, safety, and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:50 am - 3 pm Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor packaging and automation equipment Inspect finished products for proper sealing, labeling, and quality Follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures Assist with product changeovers and material preparation Build boxes and maintain housekeeping standards Communicate with production team to minimize downtime Perform basic preventive maintenance and report issues Operate a forklift as needed (training provided) Requirements Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Effective communication skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation) Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check Work Environment Standing, lifting, repetitive tasks Exposure to heat, cold, and manufacturing noise We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
