Job Description The Senior Field Service Specialist is a key technical leader responsible for advanced commissioning, integration, and mentorship within our Professional Field Services. As a subject matter expert on refrigeration, CO2 systems, HVAC controls, and complex system architectures, you will lead on-site initiatives, coach fellow specialists, and represent our company with esteemed clients during large-scale rollouts. This role involves significant fieldwork and requires extensive overnight travel. AS A SENIOR FIELD SERVICE SPECIALIST, YOU WILL: Perform expert-level commissioning and optimization of complex refrigeration and building automation systems. Create control programs and logic sequences based on detailed specifications. Provide advanced troubleshooting support for control systems, refrigeration racks, HVAC, and BMS integrations. Lead on-site teams, coordinate contractor efforts, and ensure compliance with design specifications. Execute and oversee new store commissioning and remodel projects. Identify and qualify contractors to support commissioning services. Mentor and train junior specialists to enhance team capabilities. Act as the primary technical contact for major clients and large commissioning projects. Maintain expert knowledge of our control systems and competitor systems (Danfoss, Carel, Novar, Honeywell, etc.). Document and clearly communicate findings to project and leadership teams. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: 7+ years of experience in refrigeration controls, field commissioning, or system integration. Advanced understanding of refrigeration system design, pressure/temperature relationships, and CO2 system controls. Proficiency in controller programming and network integration. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience in field settings. Excellent customer communication and organizational skills. Proficient with technology, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email. Ability to manage multiple high-impact projects and provide strategic insights. Willingness to travel up to 85-90%. Legal work authorization in the United States (sponsorship is not available for this role). Remote Work Arrangement: This role is fully remote. As a remote colleague, you may be required to travel to a Copeland site regularly to collaborate with your team or customers as needed. Our compensation philosophy is straightforward: we offer a competitive base salary that aligns with local market rates, along with performance rewards during our annual review process. For transparency, the salary range for this role is $100,000-$120,000 annually, dependent on skills, talent, capabilities, and experience. Working Conditions: This position involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, extreme temperatures, and electrical hazards.
