Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Design and implement a comprehensive global sourcing strategy for Rare Earth Elements (REE) and permanent magnets (NdFeB). Identify and evaluate upstream miners, midstream refiners, and downstream magnet manufacturers. Secure favorable terms by negotiating multi-year Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) that ensure volume guarantees and pricing stability. Collaborate with the Engineering team to comprehend technical specifications and explore potential alternatives for heavy rare earths. Risk Mitigation & Geopolitical Analysis Stay ahead by monitoring global geopolitical trends, trade policies, and export controls that affect REE availability. Develop diversification strategies to minimize reliance on a single region for sourcing. Create contingency plans and establish buffer stock strategies to safeguard against market disruptions. Sustainability & ESG Compliance Ensure all suppliers meet stringent Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards. Implement traceability measures to confirm ethical mining and processing.
