Assistant Director Of Security (AdOS) The Assistant Director of Security (AdOS) serves as the second-in-command for the Security Department at Icon Brickell Master, providing direct supervision, daily site oversight, and operational leadership in support of the Director of Security (DoS). This role is responsible for ensuring consistent on-site presence, officer accountability, and adherence to client expectations, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, responsiveness, and performance across all security operations. The Assistant Account Manager role is primarily a field-based operational position. The expectation is that a minimum of 90% of working time is spent actively in the field, conducting site inspections, supervising officers, performing post checks, and maintaining visible leadership presence throughout the property. Administrative and office-based duties should not exceed 10% of weekly working hours, limited to reporting, scheduling coordination, and necessary documentation. Requirements Strong leadership presence with the ability to supervise, coach, and motivate security personnel Excellent verbal, written, and client-facing communication skills Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and operate in a fast-paced environment Customer service excellence and conflict de-escalation capability Ability to apply independent judgment within established policies and procedures Flexible availability with 24/7 accessibility for emergency response and operational support Acts as the primary operational support to the Director of Security, executing property-level directives and ensuring follow-through Serves as the on-site supervisory authority in the absence of the DoS Ensures client expectations, requests, and concerns are communicated to security staff and resolved in a timely manner Participates with the DoS and Client Manager in weekly client meetings, property walkthroughs, and after-hours inspections Maintains consistent field presence to reinforce accountability and performance standards Monitors static and dynamic tour activity to ensure client-defined coverage requirements are consistently met Investigate missed or incomplete tours and provides documented findings to the DoS and Client Manager Coaches officers on tour compliance, arrival deck engagement, and situational awareness Drives continuous improvement in tour performance metrics Conducts unannounced post inspections to verify officer attentiveness and engagement Ensures all officers assigned to Icon Brickell Master complete required training, including: EDGE training, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), On-the-Job Training (OJT), Safety Orientation If not physically present, issues clear directives to the Master Rover and verifies training completion Ensures training documentation is submitted to Operations for personnel record updates Ensures the Command Center is never left unattended Maintains an organized, professional, and operationally effective Command Center environment Conducts random compliance checks to verify: Officer presence and engagement, Monitor visibility and attentiveness, Proper functioning of security and surveillance systems Evaluates officer performance during post inspections and after-hours walkthroughs, including: Engagement at arrival deck and assigned posts, Grooming and uniform compliance per company standards, Knowledge of post duties, emergency procedures, and Icon Brickell protocols, Familiarity with access control, tour routes, and resident interaction expectations Provides real-time coaching and corrective guidance where needed Coordinates daily with the Operations Manager regarding staffing gaps and coverage solutions Manages shift coverage requests in no-call/no-show situations Maintains the AAM on-call phone to support officers after-hours and escalate issues to the DoS when required Ensures timely and accurate completion of: Incident Reports, Daily Activity Reports, Pass-Down Logs, Tour Performance Summaries Works with the DoS to deliver complete and professional reporting to managing director Responds to on-site incidents and ensures proper documentation and client notification Ensains escalation follows chain-of-command: Director of Security ? Managing Director ? Client Manager ?
