Physician Assistant | Pediatrics - Critical Care Location: New York Employer: Barton Associates Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Our client in New York is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Cardiology Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment starting Jun 8, 2026. This role involves 12-hour shifts, focusing on comprehensive inpatient care within a pediatric cardiac intensive care unit, including daily rounding with physicians and managing an average of 5-9 cases per day. Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive inpatient care within the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit. Collaborate with attending physicians during daily rounds on day shifts. Manage an average of 5-9 cases per day. Perform and manage advanced procedures including intubation and ventilation, and central and arterial line placement. Initiate and manage ECMO. Provide hemodynamic support to critically ill patients. Oversee post-operative management of pediatric cardiac patients. Additional Information Required Board Certifications: Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. EMR System: Epic. Schedule: 12-hour in-house shifts, 8a-8p.
