Apply NowJob Description
We’re seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join a world-class manufacturing operation running high-speed automated production line, utilizing a mix of modern servo-driven systems and legacy mechanically intensive equipment. This is a role for a true subject-matter expert—someone who can independently troubleshoot complex problems, drive root-cause solutions, and keep production assets performing at peak reliability. You’ll work across mechanical systems, electrical distribution, controls, pneumatics, robotics, instrumentation, and sensor-driven automation. The ideal technician is hands-on, curious, collaborative, and comfortable bridging both older equipment and newer motion/control technologies. We value craftsmanship, problem-solving, and positive team culture—and we’re looking for technicians who take pride in doing the job right and supporting those around them. Compensation $28-$35 / hr Full benefit package offered Requirements Responsibilities Mechanical Equipment Maintenance: Repair, rebuild, and maintain production assets including mixers, tanks, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and mechanical assemblies across both legacy and modern lines. Electrical & Controls Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues with 24V–480V systems, motors, sensors, drives, relays, and control panels; rapidly identify root causes in systems driven by servos, encoders, and automation hardware. Automation & Robotics Support: Troubleshoot faults on packaging robots, servo-driven motion stations, automated loading/unloading systems, and palletizing/case-handling equipment; support reliability of integrated motion systems. Instrumentation & Vision Systems: Maintain and calibrate sensors, level/position switches, safety devices, load cells, and vision inspection systems used for verification, orientation, presence detection, dimensional checks, and quality validation. Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems: Repair valves, cylinders, actuators, air manifolds, and fluid-power components supporting automated production and packaging equipment. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Execute PM programs including lubrication, belt/chain inspections, wear-component replacement, electrical checks, and sensor alignment to minimize downtime. Root Cause Analysis: Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify recurring problems, propose long-term fixes, and prevent repeat failures—without relying on engineering escalation for routine problem solving. Continuous Improvement: Recommend process upgrades, equipment modifications, and reliability improvements to enhance uptime, safety, and efficiency across the operation. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with operators, maintenance teammates, engineering, and production leadership; maintain clear logs of repairs, parts usage, downtime drivers, and recommended improvements. Safety & Compliance: Follow LOTO and all facility safety procedures; uphold applicable quality and compliance standards, and model safe, disciplined work habits on the floor. Required Experience: 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Mechanical Skills: Teardown/rebuild, alignments, bearings, pumps, conveyors, and mechanical troubleshooting Electrical Skills: Low- and high-voltage troubleshooting (24V–480V), motors, sensors, relays, wiring, drives, and control panels Controls Knowledge: Ability to diagnose PLC I/O, faults, sensors, encoders, and servo-driven equipment Pneumatics & Hydraulics: Maintenance of cylinders, valves, actuators, pumps, and air systems Schematics: Ability to read electrical prints, mechanical drawings, pneumatic schematics, and wiring diagrams Troubleshooting: Independent problem-solver capable of diagnosing equipment issues without constant engineering intervention Preferred Controls & PLCs: Rockwell/Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix/CompactLogix), PLC troubleshooting, minor logic edits Robotics: Experience with palletizers, pick-and-place robots, or servo-driven motion systems Instrumentation: Calibration and maintenance of sensors, load cells, vision systems, or process instrumentation Vision Systems: Experience with camera-based inspection for verification/orientation/presence checks CMMS: Familiarity with digital maintenance tracking systems Education: A.S. in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics or equivalent technical training Benefits Compensation $28-$35 / hr Full benefit package offered
