Warehouse Material Handler

Warehouse Material Handler We are looking for a dedicated warehouse associate to join our team from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This role involves performing basic warehouse duties, including operating a sit-down forklift, loading and unloading products, and preparing them for shipment. Responsibilities: Perform basic warehouse duties. Load and unload products using a sit-down forklift. Palletize products and prepare them for shipment. Print labels and work with computers for label printing and inventory checks. Utilize RF scanners to ensure accuracy of receiving and shipping documents. Cross-train between manufacturing production and warehouse operations. Assist with packing, repacking, and filling tasks in production. Ensure timely shipment, receipt, and transfer of finished products and raw materials. Accurately complete all required documentation. Essential Skills: Experience in material handling and sit-down forklift operation. Proficiency in inventory picking, packaging, and control. Ability to operate ERP systems and perform cycle counts. Strong attention to detail and communication skills. Math skills for pen to paper picking and pulling inventory. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Lead experience and comfort in training others. Work Environment: Work in a personal care product manufacturing company with a focus on safety and collaboration. The work environment includes three different production floors with large pumps, tanks, and piping systems. Conditions can be hot in the summer, with floors that may be dirty and wet. PPE includes safety glasses, steel toe boots, hearing protection, and hard hats. You will spend time in both the warehouse and production floor, assisting wherever needed. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Darien, IL. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
