Role: Assistant Project Manager Commercial Construction Location: Asheville, NC Salary: $70,000 $100,000 + Full Benefits With a strong pipeline across Western North Carolina, this team delivers complex Healthcare, Higher Education, and K-12 projects, including both ground-up construction and renovations. This is an office-based APM position supporting Project Managers on commercial builds across the healthcare and education sectors. You will play a key role in coordinating documentation, managing subcontractor communication, supporting preconstruction efforts, and helping ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. Key Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Support budgeting, cost tracking, and subcontractor buyout Coordinate with field teams to ensure smooth project execution Participate in client and subcontractor meetings Assist during preconstruction phases, including document review and scope coordination Help maintain project schedules and reporting What Were Looking For Minimum 3 years of experience with a Commercial General Contractor Experience on Healthcare, Higher Education, or K-12 projects strongly preferred Exposure to both new construction and renovation projects Construction Management and/or Design-Build experience is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Desire to grow into a Project Manager role long term Why Join?
