Job Status: Salary Exempt Reports to: Manufacturing Engineering Manager POSITION SUMMARY:Support the launch of new equipment and products at our facility. The position requires work on new product development as well as existing products. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: Support product launch through developing and documenting capable processes. This includes, creating operational sheets, defining tooling and gaging requirements for jobs, and creating any necessary programs needed to run equipment. This includes the design and sourcing of custom tooling and fixturing as needed. Learn and gain understanding of gear generating equipment, processes, and setup to facilitate and support continuous improvement activities in related areas. Lower the cost of production by eliminating wastes in both manpower and materials Supports engineering and project teams by communicating regularly to guarantee that both sales and customer-driven objectives are met Assures product and process quality thru acquisition of necessary tooling, gaging, and documentation; confirming manufacturing processes. Team support of new product development, quality, and manufacturing JOB MEASUREMENTS: Excellent communicator Great organizational skills with an attention to details Safety and quality-focused individual Highly motivated change agent Ability to analyze data to drive projects and processes Ability to work with multiple levels of associates EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE OR QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or similar engineering degree is required 3 years of industrial or manufacturing engineering experience through internship or full-time work is required Experience in gear cutting processes and development Experience in CNC machining, tooling, work holding CNC programing SolidEdge Esprit CAM Software Strong troubleshooting skills Proficient with Microsoft Excel PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally standing and lifting heavy objects regularly weighing 40 and occasionally up to 70 pounds. The employee is occasionally bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and sitting. Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
