Job Summary: To provide proactive, value adding, strategically aligned support to the Senior Managers of their area in the development and the delivery of people strategies, in line with the business VMOST objectives. Being an active change agent with delivery and implementation of any organizational transformation work. Ensuring all advice given is compliant with legislation adhering to company policies and best practice. Responsibilities Proactively collaborate and support Senior Managers in driving strategic HR discussions. Contributing to the development of their business area by ensuring that the local HR strategics are directly aligned to the overall business strategy. Provide expertise advice, support and coach Business Leaders and Managers on HR matters, including policies, procedures, best practice, employment legislation, employment relation issues, organization design, Learning and Development, Total Reward as well as employee wellness initiatives. Introduce and where appropriate adapt HR policies and initiatives based upon best practice to ensure local effectiveness and legal compliance for all the assigned areas. Work collaboratively with the L&D Business Partner to support and implement development and training solutions to retain and develop our internal talent. Work collaboratively with the internal Talent Acquisition Specialists to ensure talent resourcing plans are met and interviewing managers are equipped with the necessary skills. Work collaboratively with Occupational Health by ensuring that appropriate policies and practices and measures are in place to control absence and address long and short-term absences in the most appropriate way. Being an active People Promise ambassador while supporting and maintaining our culture and engagement of our employees. With assistance of the HR Specialists and HR Administrators, produce compliant correspondence, on behalf of managers, relating to all areas of Human Resources, predominantly around Employee Relations. Recommend and implement processes that aid the communication and dissemination of the corporate vision and values Assist the HR Director, HR Manager, HR Specialists and fellow HR Business Partners with any ad hoc duties and projects, specifically in identifying and driving improvement projects aim at attracting, maintaining, and developing an exceptional CooperVision team and at improving the UK Manufacturing HR function. Analyses trends and metrics in partnership with their business unit and wider HR Team to develop solutions and policy to support the business. Help drive employee engagement by assessing performance within their allocated areas against the requirements of the business and facilitating action items to improve engagement levels. Act as a trusted CooperVision employee by adhering to our company values, as well as driving our commitment to Inclusion and Diversity and Employee Engagement. Promote employee wellbeing so that employees remain engaged, productive and effective. Any other related duties connected with the Company's business as may be required. Travel Requirements: This role does not require any frequent foreign travel, but this role does require travel to local sites for operational meetings within the UK and therefore their own transport is preferred. Should any foreign travel be required to spend time at different locations/sites this will be discussed prior. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Core competency Individual Contributor level Project Management Teamwork Results Departmental Impact Self-Awareness MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook HR information systems experience (Oracle HCM would be advantageous) Extensive and up to date knowledge of UK employment law People focused and able to build and develop relationships with stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to analyze complex issues and recommend and implement practical solutions. Able to develop and implement a HR strategy aligned with the business and internal HR guidelines. Attention to detail while remaining focused on major end objectives. Strong influencing skills and not afraid to challenge. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize own workload with minimal supervision. Able to work under pressure but work independently Demonstrates a can-do attitude with the ability to respond positively to change Full driving license is preferred. Work Environment: Predominantly office working environment with pre-approved working from home ad-hoc arrangements. Ideally 3 days in office, with 2 days with working from home (changeable days). Prolonged use of a PPC, laptops, display screens and mobile phone. Able to work additional hours as necessary to achieve required performance. Requirement to work irregular hours and in different locations to suit the needs of a 24/7 business. Requirement to occasionally work in a clean room environment. Experience: Extensive relevant HR experience including coaching and developing managers in a range of people management activities. Proven experience of participating or leading HR projects / Change projects Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent coaching, influencing and relationship management skills within a management population. Previous competent Advisor level HR experience (or equivalent). Handling high volume and complex strategic projects Experience of dealing with complex ER case work, with administrative support. Education: CIPD professional qualification at level 7 as a minimum, is desirable. A high level of general education including demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills. Ideally a master's degree in a Business Management or related subject (Human Resource Management, Psychology, etc.). For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $106,240.00 and $141,653.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
