PRIMARY PURPOSE : To manage all aspects of client's large-loss and high-profile worker's compensation program to ensure regulatory compliance and that contractual performance standards are met by their third-party administrators (TPAs). To provide members with a resource for workers' compensation information that helps them better understand the complexities of the system, enhances their communication with their third-party administrators, and to provide members with the tools necessary to manage the costs of their workers' compensation claim.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES Conducts large-loss and high-profile case monitoring, on-site, on-line and by report. Researches and manages the RFP process for third party administrators (TPA) services based on client needs for their Workers Compensation program. Ensures compliance with performance standards/requirements and compliance with all state, federal and regulatory reporting requirements. Maintains client relationships by monitoring ancillary vendors and addresses service concerns with providers, coordinating vendor transitions, Develops and maintains workers' compensation management resources for members and staff including research, discussion, and presentation to applicable parties. Conducts oversight reviews for adherence to contract compliance, technical standards, and regulatory requirements. Identifies and develops training programs specifically related to oversight needs; designs training plans and materials and delivers training that meets business needs, objectives, strategies, and policies. Manages the program for excess claims to include accurate and current reporting, reserves, compliance, payments, and settlement. Monitors legislation and changes in state and federal laws while working with clients on how these changes will impact their workers' compensation programs or services provided by their TPA. Presents at client board meetings, association, or other public events. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONSEducation & LicensingBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.ExperienceSeven to nine (7-9) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.Skills & Knowledge Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills PC literate, including Microsoft Office products Analytical and interpretive skills Strong organizational skills Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent negotiating skills Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate and constructive written reports Ability to work in a team environment Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies WORK ENVIRONMENTWhen applicable and appropriate, consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations.Mental : Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion; ability to handle work-related stress; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; and ability to meet deadlinesPhysical : Computer keyboarding, travel as requiredAuditory/Visual : Hearing, vision and talkingAs required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $100,000 to $105,000 USD annual salary . Bonus eligible role.
