We are currently seeking an engaged and passionate professional to serve as Lease-up Compliance Specialist to a newly developed property. Under the direction of the Lease-up Manager, the Lease-up Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing all resident file compliance activities during active lease-up for PBRA-assisted and LIHTC & HOME regulated properties. This role ensures that applications, certifications and resident files are processed accurately, submitted timely and fully audit-ready in accordance with HUD, PHFA, investor, and internal Trek compliance standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and experienced with LIHTC lease-ups and third-party audits. As Trek continues to expand, we are seeking a Lease-up Compliance Specialist to support lease-up operations across a growing portfolio. Essential Functions: Conduct LIHTC/PBRA eligibility interviews in accordance with HUD & PHFA requirements Process applications through a third-party compliance department from intake to approval Prepare and submit initial and final RPC submissions and address deficiencies as needed Provide organized compliance files and documentation to investors Organize and maintain resident files using Trek checklists and internal standards Ensure all files are complete, accurate and audit-ready always Prepare resident files for full PHFA file audits, including internal pre-audit reviews Support audit responses and resolve compliance findings Collaborate with leasing and property management teams during active lease-up Education & Experience: Minimum 23 years of affordable housing compliance experience, preferably in active lease-up Strong working knowledge of LIHTC, HOME, PBRA and HUD eligibility requirements Experience with compliance submissions and approvals Familiarity with PHFA audits and investor compliance requirements Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Lease-up experience for newly constructed or rehabilitated properties preferred Experience working with investor reporting and file reviews preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Physical Demands & Work Environment: The employee is regularly required to move around the building or site. May require travel dependent on business needs. Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across site.
