Senior Transactional Legal Secretary San Francisco | Hybrid (3 days onsite) A highly regarded San Franciscobased legal practice is seeking a Senior Transactional Legal Secretary to provide high-level support to firm leadership and a busy transactional team. This is a direct-hire, permanent role created due to an upcoming retirement and offers long-term stability, visibility, and partnership with senior attorneys. Why This Role Support a highly visible Managing Partner in a sophisticated transactional practice Consistent hybrid schedule with predictable onsite days Low overtime and strong work/life balance Collaborative, team-oriented administrative environment Engaging office culture with meaningful perks and benefits Key Responsibilities Perform heavy document production and redlining using Forte (required) Prepare and finalize transactional documents, including signature packets, tables of contents, macros, and complex formatting Provide billing support, including edits, markups, Excel-based data, and coordination of billing history Manage matter intake processes, including conflicts checks and data submission Draft correspondence, interpret handwritten notes, manage calendars, and schedule meetings Partner closely with senior leadership to ensure responsiveness, prioritization, and clear communication Support cross-training initiatives as part of broader administrative continuity planning Required Qualifications 5+ years of law firm experience, ideally in a transactional practice Advanced Forte experience (non-negotiable) Strong document production, redlining, and Adobe skills Prior experience supporting senior attorneys or partners Professional, patient, confident communicator with sound judgment Ability to work independently while contributing to a small, close-knit team Bonus: experience in both transactional and litigation environments Work Environment Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite per week (consistent weekly cadence) Standard hours: approximately 9:00 AM 5:30 PM (37.5-hour workweek) Compensation & Benefits Salary $105,000 - $120,000, depending on experience PTO: 4 weeks in year one 5 weeks in year two Up to a 6-week cap with tenure Medical, dental, and vision coverage (BlueCross/BlueShield) Wellness reimbursement up to $500 annually Transportation stipend and potential remote work stipend (approximately $75/month) Onsite amenities including gym access, snacks, breakfast items, and espresso bar Catered lunches twice weekly Regular office events and engagement activities Location & Commuting San Francisco office with convenient public transit access Transportation stipend provided Equal Employment Opportunity Statement We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and consider qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, medical condition, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable California or federal law.
