Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatrist to join our team. As a PNP or MD, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health care to patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with psychiatric disorders through medication and medication management. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health issues.Duties:- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans- Administer medications and monitor their effectiveness- Provide counseling and support to patients and their families- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care- Monitor and document patients' progress and response to treatment- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical recordsQualifications:- Valid MD, PA, NP license in NC- Ability, comfort and desire to prescribe and manage medication- Minimum of [2] years of experience as a NP, MD, or PAC- Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, treatments, and medications- Familiarity with family planning, physical examinations, diagnostic evaluation, aseptic technique, medical records, physiology knowledge, suture, coding, nursing home procedures, and infection control protocols- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary teamWe are a group practice of 1099 contract therapists looking to expand our services to offer medication management our of our Fuquay office.
