Summary Of Position: A Physician Assistant is engaged in admitting, consulting, and advising treatment plans for inpatients, following established protocols. Work includes providing direct patient care by examining diagnosing and analyzing the patient's current health condition in collaboration with a physician and/or established protocols/standards while providing cost-effective, quality medical care to all patients. Will work in conjunction with and seek supervision from Staff Physicians and the Medical Director. Provides care of hospitalized patients and has full control of a patient throughout their entire shift. Minimum Qualification(s): Graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment National Certification in the State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred Qualification(s): 1 year of Physician Assistant experience preferred.
