Your recruiter will provide the most up-to-date details during the hiring process.How you'll make an impact in this roleProgram Director - Comprehensive Sickle Cell Disease ProgramDell Children's Medical Group & The Blood and Cancer Center of Central Texas is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Program Director to lead and expand our Comprehensive Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) Program, a NASCC site. This is a unique opportunity to advance clinical excellence, implement innovative care models, and strengthen community engagement for pediatric patients with SCD across Central Texas. Board-certified/board-eligible in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology required.Our program currently cares for ~250 patients, supported by a dedicated team that includes advanced practice providers, a program coordinator, social work, and psychology. We emphasize multidisciplinary care and collaborate closely on joint initiatives in pain management, pulmonary hypertension, moyamoya/vasculopathy, and quality improvement.Key Responsibilities: Provide clinical leadership for the multidisciplinary SCD program Oversee care delivery, quality improvement, and patient outcomes Foster partnerships with academic, community, and advocacy stakeholders Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based protocols to drive program growth As the clinical partner site for Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin , you will also play an active role in the education and training of future physicians.
