Associate Buyer Manufacturers of consumer and food service disposables, hardware, consumer goods, medical goods, and industrial laundry services rely on Rennco for high-performance automatic and semi-automatic vertical bagging systems and heat-sealing solutions. Position Overview: Rennco is searching for an Associate Buyer who will contribute to the company's success by actively participating in specific purchasing functions with a positive attitude and great work ethic. The ideal candidate should have the ability to communicate well with others and always display professionalism. Essential Job Functions Associate Buyer: Reviews all purchase requirements in the ERP workbench daily as directed. Purchase prescribed routine raw materials, semi-finished goods, finished parts, supplies and/or equipment ensuring that all quality, delivery, and specification requirements are met. Process the approved purchase requisitions as appropriate. Gather quotes from various vendors/suppliers on requested parts, equipment and/or supplies. Negotiate prices on a limited basis as directed. Maintain and update active purchase orders. Expedite purchase orders at the direction of management. Research and qualify new vendors as required. Assist in the measurement and reporting of cost increases, reductions, and avoidances as directed. Participate in the Inventory Management process aimed at planning and controlling inventory levels. Update spreadsheets, review and analyze purchasing data as directed. Perform other duties or special projects as assigned. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year technical degree or 3+ years in a purchasing and/or manufacturing environment preferred. Problem-solving skills, analytical, and reasoning ability. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with others in a professional manner. Ability to interpret instructions whether written, spoken, or in a diagram. Ability to work well in a team and independently in a dynamic environment. Attention to detail and the ability to manage files and records effectively. Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience with ERP software a plus.
