Akkodis is seeking a Database Administration -MSSQLDBA for a Contract with a client in Rosemont, IL. This role requires strong expertise in MSSQL database administration to effectively manage daily operations, performance tuning, and highavailability environments. Rate Range: $45/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Database Administration -MSSQLDBA job responsibilities include: Manage and administer SQL Server databases, including daily health checks, monitoring, backups, and maintenance activities. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues related to performance, availability, and connectivity. Perform database performance tuning and optimization to ensure high efficiency and reliability. Implement and support highavailability and disasterrecovery solutions such as Always On Availability Groups and clustering. Plan, execute, and support database upgrades, patching, migrations, and installation of SQL Server instances. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize schemas, queries, and overall database performance. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6-12 years of handson experience as an MSSQL Database Administrator. Strong expertise in SQL Server (2016/2017/2019), including installation, configuration, and performance tuning. Proven experience with highavailability solutions such as Always on Availability Groups, clustering, and disasterrecovery implementations.
