Part-Time Bookkeeper

Part-Time Bookkeeper We partnered with our client in the Dallas area, a successful injury law firm in search for a sharp, process-driven Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage a high-volume financial workflow of case settlements. This role is on a Temporary to Hire basis with 100% onsite schedule, 3 days per week Monday-Friday flexible schedule. This role is perfect for an Accounting Student looking for "real-world" experience, a Recent Graduate building their resume, or an Experienced Candidate seeking a flexible, high-impact part-time role. Key Responsibilities High-Volume Case Accounting: Execute the financial "closing" of 60+ cases per month with extreme precision. SmartAdvocate Workflow: Monitor SmartAdvocate for closed claims. Process check requests and load entries based on settlement data. Audit case files for advanced costs (filing fees, medical records) to ensure firm reimbursement. QuickBooks Management: Record operational transactions, categorize expenses, and record payroll data. Check Processing: High-speed, high-accuracy issuance of checks for medical providers, liens, and client disbursements. Reporting: Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and ensure the ledger matches the settlement statements. Qualifications Experience: 15 years of bookkeeping or related administrative experience Software Proficiency: QuickBooks (Intuit) or QuickBooks certification. Solid understanding of bank feeds and reconciliations. SmartAdvocate: Prior experience is a plus, but we will train a candidate with a high technical aptitude. Accuracy: A "zero-error" mindset. When dealing with client trust funds (IOLTA), there is no room for mistakes. Efficiency: Ability to handle a "sprint" of transactions during heavy settlement weeks.
