JOB PURPOSE The Production Manager is responsible for leading and executing all manufacturing operations for e2Companies' production facility. This role is accountable for day-to-day production execution and performance, and for driving strong safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement outcomes in partnership with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality across a low volume, high complexity manufacturing environment where each system represents a multi-million dollar asset. This leader will manage people, processes, materials, and schedules to ensure R3Di® units are built, tested, and delivered on time, within specifications, and in compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality requirements. The Production Manager collaborates across all departments to translate engineered designs into repeatable, scalable production outcomes. RESPONSIBILITIES Production Leadership and Execution Plan, coordinate, and oversee all production activities for R3Di® manufacturing, including electrical assembly, mechanical integration, testing, and final readiness Translate forecasts, schedules, and work orders into executable daily and weekly production plans Deliver complete systems on time while meeting quality, safety, and cost objectives Balance throughput, labor allocation, and material availability in a project based manufacturing environment Other duties as assigned Team Management and Development Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors, leads, and technicians Set clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and accountability Drive a culture of ownership, precision, and continuous improvement Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of production staff Quality, Safety, and Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 9540, UL 1973, and applicable standards Execute manufacturing quality processes, inspections, and documentation through disciplined production practices and cross functional coordination Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues, defects, or nonconformances Enforce safe handling, installation, and testing of LiFePO4 battery systems Process Improvement and Scalability Develop and refine production workflows, work instructions, and standard operating procedures Drive efficiency, repeatability, and scalability as production volumes increase Partner with Engineering to improve manufacturability and implement design changes Cross Functional Collaboration Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to align schedules, priorities, and material readiness Support factory acceptance testing and handoff to commissioning and field teams Provide production input during new product introduction and design changes Reporting and Metrics Track, analyze, and report key production metrics including schedule adherence, labor utilization, quality, and safety Maintain accurate production records, build documentation, and compliance logs Communicate risks, constraints, and mitigation plans to leadership BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (MUST-HAVES): Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or production leadership Demonstrated experience managing complex, engineered systems in a regulated environment Strong understanding of electrical systems, power equipment, or energy related products Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high accountability production setting Working knowledge of OSHA and electrical safety standards PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE-TO-HAVE): Experience in energy storage systems, power generation, UPS systems, switchgear, or critical power infrastructure Background in low volume, high value manufacturing environments Experience supporting UL listed products and third party inspections Familiarity with LiFePO4 battery systems, BMS integration, or power electronics Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement training or certification Experience scaling production operations in a growing organization WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Manufacturing and production facility environment with exposure to electrical systems, battery modules, tools, and powered equipment Combination of office-based planning and hands-on presence on the production floor Ability to walk production areas, review builds, and support troubleshooting for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours) Occasional lifting, bending, and standing in support of production activities Ability to safely work around low voltage electrical systems and energy storage equipment while wearing required PPE Compliance with all safety policies, OSHA requirements, and lockout tagout procedures HERE'S WHAT YOU GET Competitive Pay PTO days / Sick days Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and 401K benefits Equity participation through the Employee Incentive Program 8 paid Federal Holidays Childcare assistance (Up to $300 per month) Paid Training (OSHA 10, NFPA 70E) "Work Hard, Play Hard" culture with team events and e2 for Good initiatives Ready to shape the future of green energy?
