Work Schedule and Location: Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm We are committed to providing stable hours to ensure your financial security and work-life balance. This position is located at our material waste disposal site in Watertown, WI. Your Responsibilities: As a Skilled Heavy Equipment Technician at WM, you will play a crucial role in servicing and repairing essential heavy equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders. Your expertise will be recognized and valued, ensuring our operations run smoothly. Conduct repairs on a variety of equipment, including bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front-end loaders, yard trucks, farm tractors, forklifts, and company vehicles. Diagnose and repair differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, air conditioning units, and electrical systems. Perform preventative maintenance as outlined by site checklists. Complete paperwork and administrative tasks such as work orders, card files, preventative maintenance checklists, and oil sample analysis. Service and maintain additional equipment such as light plants, water pumps, welders, and other machinery. Qualifications: A minimum of 1 year of maintenance mechanic experience with heavy equipment. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be over 18 years of age. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Ability to perform physical requirements of the role with or without reasonable accommodations. Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical examination. Exposure to physical occupational risks, such as cuts, burns, and toxic chemicals, is common. Frequent exposure to a physical environment that may include dirt, odors, noise, and extreme weather conditions. This job includes both inside garage and shop settings as well as outdoor conditions, which may involve inclement weather and varying temperatures.
