LPN Job Details - New York Healthcare Jobs Location: Ithaca & Cortland, NY (float between sites with advanced notice; weeks not split between locations) Healthcare Setting: Addiction Recovery Centers (Outpatient, Long Term Care, Mental Health) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts; some Saturday shifts (7:30am-1:00pm) Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 - End: 1/19/2026) Charting Systems: Epic (for charting), Evolve (for dosing) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1400-$1500 per week LPN Qualifications & Requirements Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in New York State Minimum 1 year of LPN experience, preferably in addiction recovery, rehab, mental health, or outpatient healthcare settings Strong attention to detail and strict adherence to protocols for handling controlled substances Demonstrated compassion and empathy for patients in addiction recovery Ability to collaborate effectively with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Nurse Practitioners Experience with Epic or Evolve electronic health records is a plus LPN Responsibilities - Addiction Recovery & Long Term Care Prepare and calibrate dosing at 7:00am; administer liquid methadone and other injectable medications Conduct general wellness checks, including blood pressure, vital signs, and patient information verification Collect urine samples and assist with patient rooming and intake Ensure accurate documentation in Epic and Evolve healthcare systems Deliver compassionate care and support to patients, many of whom rely on the facility as their primary care provider Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including RNs and Nurse Practitioners About Ithaca & Cortland, NY: Located in the heart of upstate New York (Ithaca zip code 14850), these vibrant college towns offer a welcoming community, scenic gorges, waterfalls, and a lively arts and dining scene.
