Apollo Technical has a immediate need for a Control Systems Manager in the Pine Bluff AR area About the Role Seeking a Control Systems Manager to own the full controls and automation landscape for our Siemens-based manufacturing operation. This is a technical authority role-not a maintenance or programming support position. The successful candidate will lead controls strategy, system reliability, architecture design, and long-term automation roadmap development. Key Responsibilities Serve as the owner and decision-maker for all plant control systems. Lead the strategy, architecture, and reliability of Siemens PCS7 systems (including F-Systems) and TIA Portal platforms. Develop and execute the long-term controls roadmap for modernization and automation upgrades. Drive standardization, documentation, backups, version control, and lifecycle planning across all systems. Mentor and oversee internal controls staff, external integrators, and automation contractors. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure system uptime and process stability. Evaluate and implement automation improvements tied to throughput and OEE gains. Uphold safety-critical and cybersecurity standards in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications Expertise in Siemens platforms: PCS7 (including F-Systems) and TIA Portal required; APACS/Quadlog experience preferred. Industry background in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical environments (intrinsically safe systems and regulatory compliance). Proven leadership experience managing controls engineers, system integrators, and automation teams. Hands-on technical capability-must be able to troubleshoot from field instrumentation to SCADA. Strong understanding of Management of Change (MOC), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and control system cybersecurity. Ideal Candidate Profile 10+ years of progressive controls and automation leadership. Broad exposure to Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Ignition SCADA systems. Deep knowledge of process instrumentation and continuous manufacturing operations. Comfortable working in a 24/7 industrial production environment. Success Metrics (First 12 Months) A documented controls architecture and lifecycle roadmap in place. Established standardization and versioning discipline. Reduced downtime linked to controls issues. Improved process stability and system reliability. Reduced third-party dependency for day-to-day control system management.
