Housekeeper - Part-time

St. Mary Magdalen Parish is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to serve as a part-time Housekeeper. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all who visit our parish. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, take pride in their work, and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision. In addition to routine cleaning duties, the Housekeeper will support occasional parish events and activities. Work Schedule This part-time position includes up to 15 hours per week. Some flexibility may be needed for special events or parish needs. Key Responsibilities: Perform residential-style housecleaning one day per week (e.g., dusting, vacuuming, kitchen/bathroom area cleaning). Clean and sanitize restrooms, mop floors, vacuum carpets, and maintain cleanliness in classrooms and common areas during weekday and weekend shifts. Clean interior and exterior windows as needed. Restock restroom supplies and maintain janitorial closets. Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Assist with event setup and cleanup: moving tables and chairs, reconfiguring rooms, and emptying trash. Occasionally perform heavier physical tasks such as lifting tables, boxes, or equipment. Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Residential housecleaning experience is strongly preferred. Experience in custodial, janitorial, or commercial housekeeping roles is a plus. Skills & Requirements Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Valid driver's license. Familiarity with cleaning supplies, tools, and safe usage practices. Strong time management skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to lift and move furniture, walk, bend, and perform manual tasks.
