Job Description: As a Mobile QA Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain automated testing solutions for high-quality mobile applications. This role requires deep experience in mobile automation frameworks, test execution across real device clouds, advanced Java coding capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple distributed QA efforts concurrently. You will contribute to test strategy, automation development, execution, and reporting while collaborating closely with development, product, and QA teams. Key Responsibilities: Build, enhance, and maintain mobile test automation frameworks. Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Appium. Write clean, scalable test automation code using Java or other object-oriented programming languages. Optimize test execution across real device cloud platforms, including Sauce Labs. Apply advanced test framework design patterns including Singleton and Page Object Model. Utilize Java 8+ features and TestNG/JUnit 5 capabilities for automation. Use Maven or Gradle for build automation and framework dependency management. Log defects and manage test cases using standard industry tools such as Jira, MTM, Zephyr, or HP Quality Center. Balance and deliver multiple QA automation projects across distributed teams and parallel release cycles. Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure comprehensive functional and regression coverage. Contribute to continuous improvement of automation architecture, quality standards, and testing processes. Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies: Minimum 3 years of experience in mobile application development. Minimum 4 years of experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks. Minimum 5 years of experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Appium. Hands-on coding experience with Java or other object-oriented languages. Strong understanding of test framework design patterns including Singleton and POM. Advanced experience with Sauce Labs Real Device Cloud, including parallel execution and platform optimization. Proficiency in Java 8+ features, TestNG or JUnit 5, and Maven or Gradle. Experience with defect logging and test case management tools such as Jira, MTM, Zephyr, or HP Quality Center. Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple distributed QA projects with overlapping release timelines. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologies. Experience with XCUI, Espresso, Kotlin, or Swift. Experience in financial or trading services environments. The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $70.00/hr.
