Position Overview: In this role, you will be a key member of the site leadership and a strategic business partner to Operations and Finance at Polaris' Huntsville plant. You will be responsible for the financial integrity of the plant, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and accountability as well as ensure strong controls across site financial activities. You will provide forward-looking insights that help guide plant strategy and decision-making, lead process improvements and partner with corporate teams. You will oversee reporting, forecasting, and compliance while shaping the financial processes and tools that support the plant's success. You will also lead and develop the on-site finance team to strengthen capability and accountability. Key Responsibilities: • Lead all plant accounting and financial control activities, including payroll, inventory accounting, reconciliations, labor reporting, and financial statements. • Manage monthly close, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and actionable analysis. • Act as a strategic business partner to site leadership by translating operational drivers into financial insights that support daily execution and long-term performance. • Communicate plant financial metrics and trends to local leadership and the Global Operations Finance organization. • Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP, company policies, and SOX 404 requirements; continuously assess and improve financial systems and processes. • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle count oversight, variance investigation, and process improvement. • Oversee capital project processes, including preparation, review, and ROI/IRR analysis. • Develop tools and analytics that enhance operational decision making and provide forward-looking visibility into risks and opportunities. • Lead, coach, and develop the plant finance team to build capability and strengthen operational partnership. • Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and reporting to increase efficiency and financial governance. • Execute additional analysis and special projects as required. Desired Competencies: • Business Acumen: You understand how your work impacts financial performance, operational efficiency, and organizational goals, and you make decisions with the broader business context in mind. • Communication: You clearly convey information, ideas, and expectations to diverse audiences, adjusting your message to ensure understanding and alignment. • Technical / Functional Expertise: You apply the required technical or professional knowledge to perform your role effectively and stay current within your area of expertis Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. • Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including manufacturing cost accounting. • Strong knowledge of ERP systems; experience with AS400/MAPICS or SAP preferred. Experience with OneStream preferred. • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally, influence operational decisions, and communicate clearly at all levels. • Proven strengths in accuracy, problem solving, prioritization, and driving accountability. • Minimal travel required.
