Job Summary The Maintenance Mechanic is primarily responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of machinery and equipment in a light assembly manufacturing environment. This includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, repairing equipment, and supporting facility maintenance as needed. Essential Responsibilities and Functions Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues on machinery Respond promptly to maintenance service requests to minimize downtime Maintain and repair facility systems (e.g., lighting, plumbing, HVAC filters, air compressors) Assist with equipment installations, relocations, or upgrades Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with safety regulations Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve maintenance issues Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, and notify supervisor when stock is low Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in training as needed Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications to Succeed General knowledge of various trades due to wide nature of work-performed equivalent to a two (2) year technical degree Proficiency with mechanical systems, basic electrical troubleshooting, and pneumatic tools Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints Knowledge of safety procedures and practices (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, PPE) Basic computer skills for documentation and work order systems A self-starting individual who needs a limited amount of guidance Exercises good judgment and can accomplish a given task where there may not be a standard or recognized operation method available Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
