We are seeking a Physician Assistant - Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic for an exciting 126-day assignment with our client in Indiana. Starting Mar 30, 2026, this role involves 7p-7a shifts focusing on daily inpatient rounds, new consults, and patient discharges, managing an average of 10-15 patients within a total census of 20-30. Responsibilities and Duties Perform daily rounding on all inpatients, including those in ICU and stepdown units. Conduct new patient consults and manage patient discharges. Manage an average daily patient load of 10-15, with a total census typically ranging from 20-30 patients. Address critical care needs for cardiac cases including adult cardiac surgeries (CAB, valves, aortic dissections), high-acuity patients, and very sick individuals. Handle thoracic surgeries, primarily robotic procedures but also VATs and thoracotomies, covering all thoracic surgeries except esophageal procedures (e.g., lobectomies, wedge resections, decortications, mediastinal mass). Manage open vascular surgeries, such as CEA, AAA, and leg revascularizations. Provide care for heart failure patients, including those with LVAD, ECMO, and Impella devices. Focus strictly on critical care; this role does not include first assist duties.
