JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Urologist Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Saranac Lake, NY Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: 04/01 31/2026 (Potential for Extension) Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday, mix of Office, OR, and Cystoscopy days On-Call Shift Schedule: Monday Thursday (minimal callbacks) Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:1 COVERAGE DATES April 1, 2026 July 31, 2026 PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatrics Patient Volume/Census: Standard urology clinic and procedural volume Admissions: Handled by PAs Rounding: Handled by PAs Phone Consults: As clinically appropriate Case Mix: Bread and butter urology cases FACILITY INFORMATION Office Equipment Available: Fully equipped urology clinic, OR, and cystoscopy suite Specialty Backup Available: Full hospital specialty support Support Staff Available: 3 highly trained PAs Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered (lodging provided by facility) REQUIRED PROCEDURES General urology procedures Cystoscopies OR-based urology procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active NY license Board: Board Certified in Urology DEA: Active DEA Certification Certifications: BLS, ACLS Experience: Experienced in general urology procedures Other Qualifications: Physicians only DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide outpatient urology clinic coverage three days per week Perform scheduled OR procedures one day per week Conduct cystoscopy procedures one day per week Provide on-call coverage Monday through Thursday with minimal callbacks Collaborate with and supervise PAs who manage rounding, admissions, discharges, and clinic visits
