Contract Professionals, Inc. Job Title: Specialist Mobility Engineer - Powerpack Test & Development Location: Sterling Heights, MI (Onsite) Position Type: Contract Pay Rate: Up to $55.71/hr. Position Overview Contract Professionals, Inc. is seeking a Specialist Mobility Engineer to support build, test, and development of Full Up Powerpacks (FUPP) and associated modules for advanced ground combat vehicle programs. This role supports conventional, hybrid electric, and fully electric powertrains and includes hands-on involvement in test protocol development, execution, issue diagnosis, validation & verification, and technical data package (TDP) support. The position also includes facility operations engagement such as installation, configuration, commissioning, and test setup activities. Key Responsibilities • Evaluate multiple powerpack configurations in-vehicle and on test bench (engine, transmission, MGU, cooling, air handling, final drive) • Develop and execute test procedures from UUT build and instrumentation through post-processing and reporting • Conduct testing at component level, bench level, FUPP dyno, and vehicle/chassis rolls • Diagnose issues, generate problem reports, and support corrective action • Interface with suppliers of powerpack modules and components • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including IPT leads, systems engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and program leadership • Support internal and external milestone reviews and design gateways • Derive final design pathways and support design release approvals • Document and report findings to program stakeholders and customers • Support facility operations including installation and commissioning of test setups • May require travel to partner test locations Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred) • 5+ years of experience in testing and development of conventional and electrified powertrains • Automotive or heavy-duty vehicle powertrain experience required • Strong data analysis capability • Experience with 3D modeling data interrogation • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment • Strong technical documentation and communication skills • Must be a U.S. Person Preferred Qualifications • Military land vehicle experience • PLM experience using Teamcenter Work Environment Onsite role.
