This role provides a strong pathway to the Corporate Controller position within Conestoga Wood. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Assistant Corporate Controller has oversight and leadership of the corporate accounting function and partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. The position plays a critical role in managing the monthly close, strengthening processes, and driving efficiency through modern financial practices, hands-on leadership, and team development. Job Responsibilities: Lead and develop the accounting team through coaching, performance management, and clear accountability Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial records Own the month-end close process and oversee timely, compliant financial reporting Manage the external audit and coordinate outsourced corporate, sales/use, and property tax filings Prepare and oversee monthly Board reporting packages and key financial statements Partner with Financial Systems Supervisor on system implementations, enhancements, and issue resolution Maintain GAAP-compliant policies, procedures, and internal controls Oversee fixed asset and depreciation accounting for book and tax Serve as the subject matter expert for GL, AP, fixed asset, and tax systems; provide user training as needed Job Requirements: Current CPA license or willingness to obtain 5+ years of accounting leadership experience Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, AP, journal entries, and taxation Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems Proven ability to train, review, and assign work to deliver high-quality results Ability to travel to vendors or other Conestoga Wood locations if required Responsible for upholding the Company's Values, Vision and Mission Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
